Refinishing FAQs

We have compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions.

  1. Do you warranty your work?

We proudly offer a long 5 year warranty for residential work and 3 years warranty on commercial work and rental place.ะพ

  1. How much will I save with reglazing vs. replacement?

The cost to refinish is normally 75-85% lower than replacement. If you buy the cheapest bathtub then maybe 3 years later it will start to rust. You will not be able to use the bathroom for several days. The house will be dirty.

It will also require the costs of disposing of the old bath, repairing tiles, floors, plumbing, etc. This process, which involves spraying a new topcoat on your existing tub,  is significantly cheaper, easier, cleaner, and less time-consuming than actually replacing a tub.

  1. How long does the bathtub refinishing process take?

Our reglazing process typically only takes 3-4 hours to refinish and then after 24 hours is fully dried, complete and ready to use.

  1. Will my reglazed bathtub look like it has been painted?

Glossy, shiny, and sleek, our liquid tub liner looks absolutely spectacular. The high-gloss formula breathes new life into old, worn-out tubs with a finish that looks brand new. In fact, most people will have a difficult time telling any difference between a new bathtub and a refinished tub.

  1. Is there an odor while the work is being done?

No poisonous smell. Nearly zero volatile organic matter. We do not use any sprays or aerosols, and there will be no toxic fumes floating around your bathroom before, during or after the polishing process.

  1. Do you repair cracks, chips, and scratches in my bathtub?

Specialists at OBR Tub Gloss fix cracks and holes of any complexity. Our material is very adhesive, which allows it to securely adhere to any prepared surface. Elastic and flowing, yet dense at the same time, the material fills in and covers all the irregularities and imperfections of the surface of the product, leaving behind a perfectly smooth shiny surface of a uniform white color.

Plumbing problems (leaks, broken fixtures, etc.) must be resolved before the tub is reglazed/ the material needs to stay dry for at least 24 hrs to cure.

  1. Can I use the bathtub before you arrive?

Yes the tub does not need to be dry when we arrive. You can use it right up to the minute before we get there.

  1. Is the process harmful to me, my family or my pets?

Absolutely safe for your family and pets. Safe, toxic-free materials used. ODORLESS , ZERO VOC. Approve to use at any high rise buildings, senior citizens  buildings, care buildings.

  1. My bathroom is under construction, at what stage should we refinish the bathtub?

Bathtub restoration and renovation should be one of the last jobs you do in the bathroom, since all other work can damage the polished surface.

Remove your personal items.

Remove Shower curtains from the bathroom.

Any dripping faucets must be repaired.

Confirm that electric and water are functioning, and the home heating is functional (in wintertime).

Please do not schedule other work that day, especially any construction activity that creates dust.

  1. Do you need to come to my home to give an estimate?

Usually this isn't needed. I can almost always give an estimate over the phone, after asking you a few questions.

  1. Got A Dog?

Washing your dog in a refinished tub, it’s a good idea to put down a rubber bathmat or towel on the tubs bottom. One so they will feel secure and safe. We don’t won’t them to dig into the refinished tubs surface. Also place a towel over the tubs rail so when they climb out they won’t dig into the tubs rail with their toe nails when getting out.
